Description A Tax Preparer position is looking to be filled by Robert Half located in the Missouri City, Texas area. Your responsibilities as the Tax Preparer will consist of completing simple and complex State and Federal tax returns for individual and small business. 　　Your responsibilities in this role

　　Performing other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

　　Conclude and invoice for form preparation fees

　　Ensure client information is up to date/documents

　　Furnish the Tax software application with appropriate data

　　Complete transaction tax returns manually utilizing various methods (Paper, E File, EDI Upload) with various government agencies

　　Support clients with incoming calls to simplify tax questions and set appointments Requirements - Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills

　　Ability to multitask effectively

　　Accurate, swift, data entry abilities

　　Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight

　　Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

　　General familiarity with State tax

　　Solid understanding of S-Corps

　　Well-founded grasp of C Corp

　　QuickBooks Enterprise experience

　　Command of E1041

　　Proven knowledge of Drake Tax Software

　　Deep understanding of Tax - Form 990

　　Tax Preparation experience

　　5+ years preparing tax returns- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or finance preferred
