Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Preparer with proficiency in UltraTax to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing and reviewing individual tax returns, specifically 1040 forms, and will ensure accurate, timely filing while providing exceptional client service.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review individual tax returns (1040) accurately and efficiently.

Utilize UltraTax software to complete and file returns.

Analyze client financial documents and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Identify potential credits, deductions, and opportunities to minimize tax liabilities.

Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of all filings.

Communicate effectively with clients to gather information, clarify data, and explain tax-related concepts.

Maintain client confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all tax practices.

Stay up-to-date with tax laws, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Proven experience preparing individual tax returns, specifically 1040 forms.

Proficiency in UltraTax software.

Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

[CPA/EA certification preferred but not required.]

[Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.]
