Tax AnalystAs a Tax Analyst, you will be involved in all aspects of the state and local indirect tax process. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide variety of tax matters including:Navigate and accurately apply sales tax regulations, ensuring prompt payment and compliance with state and local tax laws. Stay abreast of dynamic changes in sales tax regulations, translating and integrating these shifts into our operational framework.Oversee the preparation and submission of sales tax returns to relevant authorities, meeting strict filing deadlines. The individual will have to have a broad knowledge of sales/use in all 50 states but will need an in-depth knowledge in material states.Manage the accounting for month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations,Review Capital projects & Ariba to ensure accurate accrual of tax while complying with local law.Partner with internal stakeholders, collaborate in sales tax audits, furnishing responses to inquiries and providing vital documentation to support our tax positionsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Data Analytics, Finance, or Information Systems, or related. Equivalent related experience in lieu of degree may be considered.2-5 years of tax or accounting experience in a public accounting firm or equivalent experience in a large corporate tax departmentExperience with financial systems, tax engines, and tax preparation software - Vertex, JDE, or Alteryx experience a plusStrong computer literacy including intermediate proficiency with MS ExcelStrong organizational & communication skills and attention to detailAbility to work within multiple diverse teams to solve complex problemsAbility to prioritize assignments & manage workload within statutory and internal deadlines with minimal direct supervisionThis role is located at our corporate headquarters in Arden Hills, MN (Hybrid work arrangement each week)About Land O'Lakes, Inc.Join us and be part of a Fortune 250, farmer- and member-owned cooperative that is reimagining the business of food.
