Tax Technology Position requires understanding of Global Tax and need to possess basic understating of Information Technology.

　　Maintain the Ford Instance of Vertex on Demand and Tax Data Hub ensuring changes / additions are done as per requirements from various teams.

　　Gather tax requirements from key stakeholders for new projects ensuring the same is appropriately documented.

　　Provide documentation and explain the input and output parameters necessary for systems to achieve the desired result.

　　Coordinate with IT Teams incase of any technical issues achieving handshake between the systems.

　　Design solution in VoD for those requirements keeping in mind no other live systems are affected. Ensuring the design is documented and approved.

　　Implement the design in lower environment and test to ensure it works as expected.

　　Move the changes upon approval to Quality Assurance environment and do comprehensive regression testing providing proof no other systems are impacted.

　　Ensure the launch happens on agreed date with migration to PROD.

　　Handle ongoing Production support issues for launched projects following agreed process.

　　In case of Production support issues relating to Tax, troubleshoot the reason for the same by analyzing VoD XML.

　　For TDH, ensure the tax reports are sent out on agreed dates with all necessary details.

　　Reconciliation between PSGL and TDH to ensure they are aligned.

　　Ensure emails related to VoD / TDH are immediately addressed.

　　Connect / Coordinate with multiple teams to understand the issues and to fix it

　　Regular interactions with OTC Managers located in multiple region

　　Technical Skills:

　　VERTEX O Series experience of version 7.0 or above with the below skills.

　　Configure Taxpayers

　　Configure Taxability Driver / Taxability Mappings

　　Configure Tax Assist Rules / Lookup Tables

　　Migration between environments of VoD.

　　Basic understanding of S4 HANA / Accelerator / SIC.

　　CFA knowledge + experience preferred

　　Basic Tax knowledge of Global markets particularly European VAT / US Sales Tax

　　Tax Data Hub (TDH) or knowledge of any VAT reporting module.

　　Soft Skills:

　　Excellent communication/presentation skills

　　Ability to handle multiple priority projects simultaneously.

　　Manage expectations of various stakeholders of overlapping projects.

　　Ability to handle pressure of stringent deadlines of various projects.
