About this Role
The main responsibility of the Tax Analyst (Domestic) is to support the federal and state tax reporting function within the Tax Department, including federal provision preparation and compliance.
What You'll Do
Responsible for the preparation of tax provision for consolidated and separate company financial reporting requirements, including permanent and temporary differences, federal tax attributes, tax accounting for equity compensation, and state modifications
Preparation of income tax returns, extensions and ES payments.
Accumulates and update apportionment data for state provision and compliance
Calculation of return to provision adjustment and preparation of the journal entry(s).
Prepares check and ACH requests for state tax payments.
Ensures compliance with SOX controls – updates controls on an as needed basis.
Gathers relevant data to prepare work papers, analyzes tax sensitive general ledger accounts and calculates and documents book-tax differences.
Prepares account reconciliations for the federal and state tax payable and receivable accounts.
Works on special projects and tax research as assigned.
Tracks state tax attributes including state NOLs and valuation allowance.
Assists in gathering data for state tax audits.
Handles state tax notices.
Keeps current with tax legislation.
Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Accounting;
Minimum of 1-3 years of public accounting experience and/or corporate tax experience.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Eligible or Certified required
