Genesis10 is seeking a Systems Engineer: III (Senior) for a contract with our client in Inver Grove Heights, MN. 100% Remote. Job Description: Engineer Systems - The Engineer will use Dynatrace to monitor hardware and applications. In addition, you will engage with applications development and technical teams to meet enterprise monitoring requirements for ongoing computer operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be needed. Key Responsibilities: Ensure operations flow smoothly and job documentation (including failure escalation) is well documented and up to date. Set up monitoring of hardware and applications within the monitoring application. Provide guidance and information to computer operations for successful business process flow. Examine production changes for completeness and manage the change flow according to documentation. Provide ongoing reporting to ensure management notification of changes and exceptions. Build reports to support teams. Recommend improvements to processing to eliminate bottlenecks. Follow up on changes and incidents to ensure completeness and accuracy. Support ongoing operations systems by acting as point of contact for monitoring, executing resolution according to process and communicating cross functionally to elicit resolution of disruptions and exceptions to process. Provide input for enhancements and improvements, recommendations on streamlining processes and identify and improve scheduling workflows and dependencies. Required Basic Qualifications: More than 3 years of IT experience to include: Experience in Dynatrace (must have configured and administered with the tool) preferably in an AWS environment. Experience with Management Zones, Application Groups, Custom Metrics and Dashboarding is required. Experience working with log parsing and DQL. Experience analyzing business requirements. Experience implementing Dynatrace into an environment would be helpful. Ability to manage and carry out complex production change processes, projects and programs. ITIL certification (nice to have). Experience with SolarWinds Orion and ITOM (nice to have).
