The Systems Engineer position exists to support the objectives of Focus on the Family ministry departments by providing proactive engineering, sustaining computer end user services, and system administration service support and delivery in support of strategic ministry goals and objectives.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Is responsible for sustaining computer end user services for Macs
Is responsible for design, rollout, and support of Mac end user standards
Partners with teams for sustaining computer end user services for PCs
Partners with teams for design, rollout, and support of Windows PC end user standards
Requires an advance knowledge of Jamf Pro application and servers
Requires knowledge of SCCM/MECM/InTune
Implements, maintains, administrates, and configures the enterprise Jamf Pro on-premises and in SaaS/Cloud environment(s)
Partners with teams to maintain, administrate and configure SCCM/MECM/InTune on-premises and in SaaS/Cloud environment(s)
Packages macOS applications to be distributed using Jamf Pro
Partners with teams to packages Microsoft packages to be distributed using SCCM/MECM/InTune
Requires an advance knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and integrating Mac systems with AD
Requires an intermediate knowledge of Okta, SAML and oAuth
Requires an intermediate knowledge of Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS)
Develops and maintains Mac deployment automation architecture, design/migration, and troubleshooting
Partners with teams to develop and maintain PC deployment automation architecture, design/migration, and troubleshooting
Adheres to procedures for Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Level Management, Change Management and Configuration Management
Consults and implements solutions for enterprise services related to the end user
Performs break/fix activities and Level-3 support for end-user related incidents
Trains L2 and L1 teams, if necessary, on new technology changes and provides KB documentation of routine tasks and processes
Recommends acquisition of appropriate end user hardware standards to improve performance, and reliability
Evaluates emerging technologies to ensure technical solutions are compatible with the ministry's business needs and strategic objectives
Provides technical expertise, guidance, and strategic recommendations for all Mac deployments
Partners with teams to provide technical expertise, guidance, and strategic recommendations for all PC deployments
Establishes, maintains, and enforces policies and procedures for server system security including server system password maintenance, rights, and profile maintenance in accordance with IT Security policies
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
May be required to carry a cell phone for availability to answer questions
Participates in on-call duties as scheduled
Manages procedures, documentation, and reports for the Technology Success Team
Performs other duties as assigned
Managerial Breadth/Scope of Job:
Provides guidance/leadership to junior staff, support staff, and Operations staff
Serves as technical lead in projects of various sizes
Working Environment/Physical Requirements:
Office environment
Ability to handle changes in priorities and special requests from Management
Work outside of normal business hours may be required
Stressful situations in resolving service disruptions or meeting tight deadlines

Knowledge/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience in the associated technology field
Jamf Certified Expert
Microsoft’s System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) or InTune
Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) or equivalent experience a plus
7-10 years of experience in an enterprise environment of 500 computers or more
Experience in Windows Server (2016, 2019), Windows 10, Apple operating systems
Following Experience, a plus:
An intermediate knowledge DNS and DHCP
An intermediate knowledge O365 and Exchange
Knowledge of VMware’s Horizon
Skills, Abilities, and Special Talents/Gifts:
Technically proficient and highly skilled in trouble shooting a large corporate network environment
Command a solid understanding of Local Area Network hardware and software,
Learn new technologies quickly and independently, utilizing course work, on the job training, manuals, technical journals, calls to technical support
Work independently to solve problems; analyzes situation and identifies cause(s) of problems; evaluates and presents alternatives to management; knows when to seek help and guidance to clarify requirements, and derives and documents requirements where none are present
Communicate effectively and in a professional manner; ability to communicate and present ideas to team members and management at various technical levels
Strong attention to detail; follows procedures and documents, plans, test results, configurations, and logs thoroughly

Salary Range: $97,760 to $114,920/yr
