The Systems Engineer will provide expertise and guidance in the procurement of cross domain solutions and maintain such solutions and systems for the Sponsor. The Systems Engineer will conduct research into all aspects of existing and future aspects of cross domain solutions the Sponsor currently or could potentially leverage such as AWS. The Systems Engineer will recommend and perform implementation and integration strategies for cross domain solutions into existing Sponsor business practices and systems. The Systems Engineer will conduct O&M on Sponsor cross domain platforms. The Systems Engineer will develop and maintain cross domain system documentation. The Systems Engineer will attend regular meetings to understand and suggest requirements and workflow enhancements. The Systems Engineer will document meeting discussions.
The Systems Engineer will build rapport with stakeholders and influence outcome of decisions on behalf of the Sponsor. The Systems Engineer will contribute to data collection and analysis discussions and realign priorities and collection strategies during evolving mission priorities. The Systems Engineer will provide expertise to implement and integrate the Sponsors OCR software. The Systems Engineer will enable the Sponsors OCR efforts to ingest multiple form types such as .pdf. The Systems Engineer will map their data fields to other forms of varying types, such as JSON. The Systems Engineer will conduct full system development lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities, and design. The Systems Engineer will code, test and deploy a cross domain scheduling solution. The Systems Engineer will enable the Sponsors scheduling of tests between secure systems and unsecure systems. The Systems Engineer will provide written reports, spreadsheets, briefings and briefing material, technical solutions presentations, technical papers, analysis by specified timelines as directed by the Sponsor on a case-by-case basis, within the contract period. The Systems Engineer will document and gather requirements and track/document progress accordingly.
Daily tasks include software testing, software maintenance, and customer support. Ad hoc tasking will include generating systems concepts of operations and user documentation.
Qualifications
Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor's Degree preferably in a STEM discipline
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience
Familiarity working with a software development team, software development, and writing user facing documentation.
