OverviewWe are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to rovide systems engineering support to the PEO Carriers program for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division A-Department.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions/Job Duties:
Collect weekly technical project highlights, and shall provide weekly technical progress and issues reports.Perform planning and engineering analysis for the evolution of assigned projects.The Contractorshall define and maintain top-level system architectures and program engineering requirements and shall translate those requirements into system concepts and plans.Provide technical capability for the review, maintenance, generation, tracking, and distribution of system engineering documentation. Such documents shall include the following:Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Document Change Requests, Interface Change Requests, Requests for Technical Direction, Software Problem Reports, Interface Requirements Specifications (IRSs), Interface Design Specifications (IDSs), Specification Change Notices (SCN), Interface Design Documents (IDD), System Engineering Notebook entries, Electrical Interface Control Drawings, System Performance Specifications (SPSs), System Segment Design Documents (SSDDs), Software Requirements Specifications (SRSs), Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), and technical bulletins.Develop and evaluate technical white papers on system/component selection and tradeoffs, emerging technologies; technology integration; performance, operational, and design tradeoffs; system interface/interoperability; as well as physical, functional, and operational design documentation for IA and Security.Define and maintain top-level system architectures and program requirements that satisfy fleet needs, and shall provide expertise in the translation of those requirements into system concepts and plans.Conduct mission level architecture and integration analysis to: establish and define mission level architectures; define and implement Department of Defense Architectural Framework (DoDAF) compliant operational, system, capability, and other models/viewpoints; develop mission threads and use cases.Review and analyze test plans, test specifications, test procedures, and test results for compliance with higher-level requirements, physical models, and operational fleet guidance and tactics.Customer Interface Activities:
Interfacing directly with stakeholders, other industry partners, and customers as needed in the execution of essentual functions and duties

QualificationsDiscipline(s):
5 to 10 years of systems engineering experienceAbility to draft and manage system requirementsFamiliarity with PL/SQL and Oracle applicationsDemonstrated ability to identify pursue, and complete program priorities with minimal oversightExperience organizing and executing system test eventsExperience configuring systems to meet user needsComfortability with Agile methodology and integrating into an Agile transforming programTimely submissions of contract reportingVerbal Communication:
Must be able to clearly and adequately communicate needs and requirements to internal staff, customers, and Program Managers in order to adequately form and respond to tasks assigned.Written Communications:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physicals or other relevant degree field.U.S. Citizenship is required
Security Clearance:
Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
