Description Systems Engineer Robert Half Tech is working with a client in New Orleans, LA to fill a Systems Engineer role. This position is a key contributor to the maintenance and optimization of the client's network and wireless infrastructure, so our Systems Engineer must be prepared for such duties. This is a Hybrid role, based in New Orleans LA.

　　Your responsibilities

　　Be a part of the development of design of information and operational support systems

　　Screen and analyze application performance for potential bottlenecks, specify possible solutions, and act jointly with developers to apply those fixes

　　Administrate backup, security, and redundancy strategies

　　Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks

　　Install, maintain, configure, and test operating systems, application software and system management tools

　　Stand by for 3rd level support

　　Take preventive measures to confirm the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

　　Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

　　Preside over and regulate all installed systems and infrastructure Requirements

　　Requirements

　　Experience with monitoring systems

　　This position will be the best fit for a candidate who has experience with automation software

　　This position requires a candidate with proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems

　　This position requires a candidate with solid scripting skills

　　Microsoft Windows Server experience highly desired

　　Proficiency in PowerShell Scripting

　　Hyper-V experience preferred

　　Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 365

　　Foundational knowledge in Windows PowerShell

　　This position will be the best fit for a candidate with solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks
