This position is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing,testing, implementing and maintaining software applications. Thisposition is also responsible for the post-implementation supportincluding incident, performance, capacity, continuity and problemmanagement activities. The Systems Analyst/Programmer III-ERP isresponsible for the preparation and maintenance of system documentationto be used by the IT staff and user community. The SystemsAnalyst/Programmer III-ERP also serves as a team lead for assignedprojects, maintains and upgrades project plans and schedules and ensuresIT testing is scheduled and documented SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works underthe general supervision of the Program Manager. On specific IT projectsmay be supervised by a team lead or project manager. SUPERVISIONEXERCISED: Exercises supervision of assigned vendor resources and ITproject team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ApplicationDevelopment Reviews application design prior to buy or build decision toensure service levels can be met and recommends any performanceenhancements prior to implementation Codes, configures, implements,maintains and supports, new and upgrades to software applications(in-house and third party software) and interfaces to ensure processesand functionality of the applications comply with the organization\'srequirements, processes and standards. Develops and maintains technicaldocumentation for applications. Post-Implementation Support Supports theresolution of incidents and problems with software applicationfunctionality. Researches and corrects problems with the systemapplications code during production processing in an efficient andtimely manner ensuring system recovery and integrity. Is available toexecute and carry out IT Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans Servesas team lead for assigned projects and updates/maintains project plansand schedules as required. Mentoring & Professionalism Maintainsprofessional interaction with the application development staff, userand extended IT community (i.e. project teams) to ensure adequate systemfunctionality, promote team participation and encourage user confidencein the Application Development Staff\'s quality of service. Providesassistance to Systems Analysts/Programmer I and II personnel ensuringthat all technical design work, coding and testing are done in a mannerthat meets or exceeds design and testing requirements and standards.SECONDARY DUTIES: Performs related duties as required. MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: A Bachelor\'s degree programin management science, engineering management, computer science orrelated field; and Five (5) to seven (7) years experience supportingenterprise wide applications; or Any equivalent combination of educationor experience.
