We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator/Computer Technician to support our corporate facilities and computer system infrastructure. This position requires both independent work and teamwork, utilizing in-depth technical knowledge, industry-standard concepts, principles, and Systems Administration skills. The individual will have experience supporting, designing, and strategizing corporate computer system infrastructure and user enterprise applications. They will be granted wide latitude in decision-making to interpret unclear or inadequate guidelines. This role will require responding to service outages, infrastructure problems, and project tasks. Duties will include adding/deleting users, setting up/changing workstations/servers, supporting data recovery and security, and managing system infrastructure services, both on-premise and cloud solutions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This position requires an individual with an adequate understanding of the job area. Work is performed independently and under limited supervision. * Analyze, administer, modify, configure, and support computer patch management for multiple, complex, and/or advanced operating systems. * Provide real-time support and updates for on-prem, cloud, and remote systems • Plan all phases of assigned projects with limited supervision or support * Demonstrates an understanding of project management processes and standards and incorporates principles of project management into assigned projects * Preparing technical documents, such as error and maintenance reports * Setting up and installing new hardware and software systems. * Provided technical support to users and resolved technical errors. * Identifying and resolving network, connectivity, and server issues. * Provide cost estimates with assistance from more experienced analysts or engineers for consideration in the functional budget * Assist in coordination and monitoring of computer systems and system software for problems or needed modifications * Creating user documents and providing training on new computer systems. * Install and upgrade application and infrastructure systems, such as operating systems and hardware, with guidance from more experienced administrators * Maintain application and IT systems, including installation of patches, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and tuning * Perform testing and procedures for applications and data backup and recovery systems * Microsoft Azure administration, design, implementation, and monitoring * Ability to travel to company facilities * This is not a remote or hybrid role. * Participate in after-business hours support and cover a rotational on-call QUALIFICATIONS: * Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline * Minimum 3-5 years of directly related work experience * Knowledge of most aspects of IT design and administration * Knowledge of distributed computing environment concepts * Analytical skills and experience. Ability to solve a range of problems, analyze possible solutions using standard procedures * Ability to develop system solutions for operational problems * Ability to write technical instructions * Ability to plan, implement, and test system software * Ability to communicate technical guidance and instructions to users on the use of systems and/or applications * Ability to effectively handle pressures and demands of deadlines and competing priorities * Ability to handle confidential information and material with the highest degree of professional responsibility * Ability to prioritize tasks to meet business needs, including prioritizing the work of others on the team, when needed.
