  Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Administrator II to join our team in San Antonio, TX .

  Description:

  The Systems Administrator II supports the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization. They support upgrades to computer components and software, management of virtual servers, and integration of automation processes. They support troubleshooting hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues. They support documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgraded IT infrastructure. They support regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures. They support desktop and help desk efforts, ensuring all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions. They support capacity, storage planning, and database performance, and monitor and manage all installed systems and infrastructure. The Systems Administrator II has experience with digital engineering and possesses a solid foundational understanding of digital engineering methodologies. The Systems Administrator II is a journeyman experienced in numerous aspects of configuring and maintaining IT systems. The Systems Administrator II takes direction from more senior personnel.Basic Qualifications:

  A minimum of two (2) years of position-specific relevant experience.

  DoD 8570.01-m Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification.

  Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience. (Can be substituted for a HS Diploma with 8 years of experience or an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience.)

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Four (4) years of position-specific relevant experience.Clearance Requirements:

  The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance is required prior to starting this position.

  Must be a US Citizen.

  Physical Requirements:

  The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license. The applicant will be required to answer certain questions for export control purposes, and that information will be reviewed by compliance personnel to ensure compliance with federal law. ManTech may choose not to apply for a license for such individuals whose access to export-controlled technology or software source code may require authorization and may decline to proceed with an applicant on that basis alone.
