Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Administrator to join our team in the Fallon, NV area.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Implementing operating systems and network device security configuration in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) approved Security Technical Implementation Guides
Specifying, configuring, and administering boundary devices (i.e., managed switches, proxy servers, routers, firewalls, cryptography, and intrusion detection systems); managing remote switches and routing
Performing vulnerability assessments using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker, incorporating automated Benchmarks
Correcting flaws and implementing technical controls in the hardware or software installed within the network environment
Managing, architecting, and implementing physical networks to include logical need to know separation between data
Minimum Qualifications:
6 years of experience as a network engineer/architect and computer systems administrator.
6 years of experience using the DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management Program (IAVMP) is required
Working knowledge of Ethernet, Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FDDI), TCP/IP, CISCO IOS, Inside Plant (ISP), and Outside Plant (OSP)
Demonstrated proficiency with Visio for LNDs
Experience with Multi-Level Security is a plus.
Knowledge of basic networking set such as CCNA or equivalent and experience/training with CISCO NX-OS
Possess DoD Approved Baseline Certification as Information Assurance Technical Level II in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, (i.e., GSEC, Security +CE, SCP and Vendor certification and IT Training Provider certificate for network environment main operating system)
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related IA/CS technology area of study required.
If no degree is held, 12 years of experience as an IT technician on DoD classified networks is required.
Security Clearance Requirements:
This position requires an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
