Overview:
Job Title:Systems Administrator Location: Stuttgart, Germany
Security Clearance: Active, in-scope US Government issued TS/SCI clearance
Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
Job Responsibilities:
Daily activities include the configuration and operation of enterprise systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based.
Optimize system operation and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning. Provide assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
Install and maintain systems including Open VMS Systems/DSM environments, UNIX(SCO and SUN), Linux, and Windows systems, and other network appliances.
Analyze system faults and run diagnostic tests on OS and hardware to detect issues.
Perform preventative maintenance on the OS, and repair system/environment problems.
Ensure the security of business systems and applications, mitigating new vulnerabilities to meet the latest Cyber/IA requirements.
Administer systems/environment solutions for multiple projects with varying schedules.
Interface with vendors for trouble calls.
Support the planning of system and environment requirements for individual projects.
Posess technical expertise with mutiple business systems and understand the interoperability between systems that include (but are not limited to) Active Directory Domain Services and Server Roles, Web Services (IIS, Apache, SharePoint), Microsoft Systems Center (SCCM, SCOM), Virtual Infrastructure Services (VMware, Citrix), Messaging Services, AV/VTC Services, Enterprise Monitoring Services, and others.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current TS/SCI Clearance
Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), VMWare Certified Professional (VCP), or comparable computer certification.
CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater)
Desired Qualifications:
ITIL v3 - Foundation
Automation using Microsoft PowerShell, VBScript, or batch files
Experience with Microsoft SCCM
Experience working in VmWare ESXi environments
Experience with network storage (SAN/NAS)
Experience with enterprise backup solutions
Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs
Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards
Experience working with and supporting Cisco Routers and Switches
Education:
BA/BS + 3 years recent specialized or AA/AS +7 years recent specialized or a major cert + 7 years recent specialized or 11 years of recent specialized experience Trace Systems
