What’s the role about?
We are hiring a Prototype Coordinator joining our Engineering team, supporting the ePowertrain (ePT) Business Unit. The role is based in Bruneck (Italy) and is reporting into the Team Leader of System Management. In this Role you are responsible for overseeing and managing the development of work products for a defined Service Strategy and an effective and efficient End-of-Line procedure jointly with manufacturing engineering in time.
What will you do?
Cross Engineering Domain (SWE, HWE, MEE) technical leadership for the development of Service and Remanufacturing as well as End-Of-Line Procedure Engineerring Workproducts for eDrive and All-Wheel Drive Systems.
Single point of contact from product development for technical and functional alignment between product development and manufacturing engineering for service, remanufacturing and EOL procedure work products as well as Field Monitoring.
Overseeing serviceability and EOL requirements in product design to achieve serviceability and EOL goals (e.g. Design for Diagnostic, Modularity, Accessibility, cycles times,..).
Manage product development timelines incl. resource planning in systems engineering for Service and EOL Workproducts and represent the progress of Service and EOL development according to the defined timing to project management.
Accountable to provide service work products like Service Parts Catalog, Service Drawings and Exploded-view drawing, Service Manuals, Documentation and Instructions, Compilation of Diagnstic Trouble Code information, product compatibility matrix on part number level.
Main contact for customers in regards to technical and functional service development like support of installation and replacement tests, guided diagnostics, train the trainer as well as customer field support (“man in the van”).
Product development approval of Service Work Products and EOL procedure.
Product Development relevant Service and EOL Data Analysis and deriving of lessons learned, design rules, constraints and restrictions.
Owner of the End of Line Engineering Specification incl. management of derived Software Routines, required Interfaces, Test (pre-) condition (warm-up, lubrication) and EOL sequences.
Continous support of Manufacturing Engineering to implement, set-up, monitor of EOL data and improve EOL routines under considerartion of cycle times, repeatability and reliability.
Leading Field Return and Warranty Analysis Workflow / Process Development including monitoring and Reporting Design Caused Field Return and initiating design improvements to reduce design caused warranty returns and EOL reject rate.
Technical support of defending against warranty claims.
What are we looking for?
Engineering Degree (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics, Mechatronics)
Experience in Requirements Engineering and in supporting Quality & Test desiderable
Experience in Problem Resolution and Project Management desiderable
English language skills
