  We are seeking a System Engineer II to analyze user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.Analyze system requirements and leads design and development activities.Guide users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies.

  The System Engineer II is expected to analyze user's requirements, draft concept of operations documents, and use high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing system requirements and leads design and development activities, guide the users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies. The Systems Engineer will be the primary Technical Lead for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.

  Position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance.

  Position Required Skills:

  Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering effortsThe ability to implement comprehensive SOA solutionsThe ability to conduct and/or approve end-to-end system trade analyses to optimize system operations over its life-cycle through the proper balance of non-functional system performance areasThe ability to ensure effective, periodic review and control of the evolving configuration of a system, both hardware and software components and associated documentation, during the life of the systemThe ability to develop system design alternatives that consider life cycle cost, reuse, complexity, risk, system expansion, and growthThe ability to maintain knowledge of current and evolving agency, national, and international standards applicable to the system development of interestThe ability to recommend a preferred solution based on selection criteria adjustedThe ability to provide technical direction for the full systems engineering life cycleThe ability to fully define interfaces in terms of origination, destination, stimulus, and data characteristics for software; and electrical and mechanical characteristics for hardwareSeventeen (14) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is requiredBachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.Position Desired Skills:

  Experience in developing system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for mid-to-large scale systemsExperience in leading agile development modelsExperience integrating COTS and GOTS products from multiple vendorsExperience developing and deploying storage within clustered or cloud environmentsExperience planning and integrating secure compliant solutions based on legal, policy, and compliance directivesExperience using KibanaFamiliarity with JSON and XMLUpon request the salary range for this job will be made available.
