Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Software Project Manager to join our ePowertrain Team. As a Software Project Manager, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating, executing and reporting on software projects. Therefore, you will be responsible for the SW development including base software development, Safety and Cyber Security, while being compliant to our processes. You will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure project milestones are completed on time, within the budget and in accordance with our quality standards.
Management of an AUTOSAR based software development project for ePT products including functional safety and cyber security SW scopes
Planning of project goals with stakeholders such as EPMs, system leaders and SWE teams
Coordination and execution of SW releases, incl. change request and debugging cycles
Ensuring the efficient processing of work packages while adhering to quality, budget and timing goals
Ensuring that all process artifacts for the SWE processes as well as the SW-specific artifacts for SW project management are available on time and in good quality and presentation of these in assessments.
Ensuring the SW development within budget, achieving the milestones and delivering the agreed content and functions of the required quality
Detailed project tracking and reporting
Management of the international project team from locations in Germany, India and the USA as well as external employees and suppliers
Reporting of the project status (budget, deadlines, quality) in internal GKN committees and towards the customer interfaces
Job-specific essential qualifications & experience
Overall 10+ years of Industry experience with an Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Information Technology or Mechatronics
Proven track record in managing software projects in the automotive industry for the last 4+ years, incl. team lead activities
Solid understanding of AUTOSAR concepts, Functional Safety and Cyber Security in the context of Base Software
Working experience in Agile methodologies and automated SW processes
