About the Role
The Sustainability Analyst will support Magna’s Suppliers with their M2030 and NQC response and collect feedback for score improvements. This individual will engage with Key Suppliers and support them in facing sustainability challenges.
The Sustainability Analyst will also collect and disseminate information for external and internal reporting, collaborate/engage with Magna's supply chain and ensure data collected is correctly applied to Supplier scorecards.
Your Responsibilities
Support Suppliers in collecting the required quantitative and qualitative data for M2030, SAQ 5.0 and other Magna designated reporting requirements; Provide feedback to improve Supplier data quality and accuracy.
Expand Magna’s engagement with Suppliers on sustainability topics such as Carbon, Biodiversity, Waste, and Water.
Support activities with Magna’s Supplier Roundtable and leverage it to build a culture of sustainability and innovation within Magna’s Supply Chain to reduce scope 3 emissions
Own roll out of internal and external platforms for dashboards, training, awards, and other tools to embed a foundation of sustainability to support Magna’s net-zero commitment and our customer requirements
Support developing and executing the strategy on how to best communicate Magna’s sustainability story internally and externally
Support activities surrounding the procurement of renewable electricity to help achieve customer requirements and internal goals.
Who we are looking for
Bachelor's degree in relevant areas, such as Business, Science, Law, Sustainability, or Economics
1+ years of experience in Environmental Management, Energy, Sustainability, or a similar field
Experience developing strategies, their respective targets, and the roadmap to success
Comfortable working with manufacturing teams and senior leadership
A technical driven individual that excels in creating solutions founded in data
Your preferred qualifications
Ability to working with massive datasets
Ability to create a cohesive strategy for Magna’s global supply chain and how it pertains to different business units
Constant awareness of changes in the net zero/decarbonization world
Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with contacts who will have a varying understanding of sustainability
