  Job Description:

  Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented experience Sustainability Professional to join our team! In this role you will get to work on sustainable and resilient infrastructure projects that change the fabric of our community and benefit the triple bottom line. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, versatile, enthusiastic and able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  In this role you will complete a wide variety of technical activities and analyses as part of multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality sustainability and resilience (S&R) client services. You will apply sustainability and resilience strategies to the life cycle of infrastructure projects in collaboration with design, construction, and client teams. You will hone your technical skills as well as gain experience in business development and employee engagement in support of our Sustainability core value.

  What You'll Be Doing:

  Acting as a member of one or more multidisciplinary teams to apply sustainability and resilience concepts and analyses to complex and rewarding infrastructure projects.

  Preparing specifications, calculations, studies, and reports, select-interdisciplinary coordination and client communication.

  Developing client deliverables and third-party sustainability certification applications (e.g. LEED or Envision).

  Supporting the preparation of proposal content for assigned business development pursuits

  Creating and/or maintaining of sustainability and resilience qualifications, marketing materials, tools, and resources for use within and outside of the sustainability and resilience team.

  What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  Bachelor’s degree or above in architecture, engineering, environmental science, planning (or related field).

  3-5+ years of overall experience, with 3+ years related to Infrastructure Project Sustainability and resilience service delivery .

  LEED AP: BD+C (or other current specialty) or ENV SP required. Additional credentials a plus.

  Engineer in Training (EIT), or equivalent, preferred, but not required.

  Prior completion of credit documentation in support of one or more third-party certifications (e.g. U.S. Green Building Council/LEED, Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure/Envision, etc.)

  Ability to develop of sustainability oriented technical provisions and/or specification documents.

  Development of presentation materials for an employee or client audience.

  Familiarity with ISO 14040 and 14044 compliant Environmental Life Cycle Assessments and greenhouse gas inventory preparation, and ISO 31000 Risk Management principles and framework.

  Ability to manage the demands of multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively within and outside of the sustainability and resilience team.

  Exceptional verbal and written communication, analytical, and management skills as well as attention to detail.

  Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering, in particular sophisticated understanding of MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, or similar reporting, visualization, and analytical tools.

  Ability to work as a member of the team or autonomously, as needed.

  What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  Client-facing presentation experience

  Exposure to Climate Risk and Vulnerability assessments and mitigation plans.

  Experience implementing project-specific sustainability and climate resilience plans.

  Exposure to contractual scope, staffing, and budget management

  Planning and facilitation of interdisciplinary sustainability workshops/charrettes

  Energy modeling expertise.

  Salary Range:

  $68,400.00 - $119,700.00
