Job Description:This role is responsible for managing the cross-functional efforts that enable our manufacturing network to adapt and scale to accommodate business growth, mitigate risks and ensure customer, operational and business needs are met. This role is responsible to design, model, and optimize the supply chain network to ensure the most efficient and cost effective operations through the Lowest Landed Operating Costs and Distribution of finished products. The Manufacturing Strategy Manager plays a vital role in the development and execution of ongoing global network optimization and process improvements, resulting in a fast-paced, lean manufacturing network. This individual will interact with key stakeholders across all levels and departments of the organization, thus requiring the ability to perform hands on operational tasks as well as effectively communicate long-term strategic solutions. This role requires a self-directed, approachable individual comfortable speaking up and dealing with ambiguity. The individual will provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, training, and accountability to all layers of reporting teams and staff.Essential Job Functions:Lead and develop long range planning and scenario models, to lower the overall Manufacturing Network cost.Develop strategic improvement initiatives to meet long-range goals, while mitigating for potential risks due to global geo-political situations, supply chain, NPD, etcBuild, implement, and maintain optimization tools for the organization and work with cross-functional departments to implement lowest cost scenarios strategically and tactically across all regions.Work with Procurement, NPD, Finance and Operations in the development of the Business Cases, to deliver a sustainable and reliable operating modelIdentify and Facilitate change to internal processes, practices, and technologies to optimize performance, execute organizational strategy, and achieve targets.Effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment undergoing transformation.Update or develop and document best practices and modeling standards that help ensure consistency across network modeling activities globally.Develop and drive the network optimization agenda on a global scale: develop the Network Design and Optimization strategy in alignment with the broader Supply Chain Strategy.Maintain communication routines with broader stakeholders, including Steering Teams and other stakeholders regarding project outputs, methodologies, scenario or constraint definitions, status, and prioritization.Identify areas of improvement; address concerns and issues as they arise; and contribute to the planning of short and long-term business objectives.Work closely with Logistics and Trade teams to understand tax/duty rates for new/existing markets, based on product formulation and regulatory compliance in order to model landed costs appropriately.Partner with Manufacturing Strategy execution program management team to develop plans and timelines to execute manufacturing network optimization projects including distribution network design, capacity planning and manufacturing footprintProvide coaching and training to Manufacturing Strategy Network Analysts in support of specific projects as well as broader development and performance management.Manage resources, provide direction to staff, guide and review Supply Chain Network Analyst's work and develop talent to ensure effectiveness.Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or modified either formally or informally, either in writing or verbally at the discretion of Management.Basic Position Requirements:Bachelor of Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or Related Field.Familiarity of Genie products and current global footprint/network preferredDemonstrated communication, collaborative and analytical competencies require
