David Evans and Associates (DEA) is looking for a Survey Right-of-Way Group Leader to help successfully grow a group and deliver high quality projects in our Salt Lake City, UT office. This position will help provide our clients with a full range of surveying services specifically focused on existing ownership research and Right-of-Way Plan Package Development. Duties include consulting, preparing proposals and contracts, providing guidance and direction to surveying/ROW development teams, conducting deed and map research and review, overseeing surveying activities related to land acquisition, preparing Right of Way development packages for the purpose of acquisition, and performing survey computations to define existing boundary lines.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop and/or review right of way documents and plans in accordance with Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) Survey, Right-of-Way, and Real Estate Manuals.Provide guidance and direction to office staff and field crew(s).Accurate retracement of existing right of way, easements, and property lines including performing the necessary research of record documents.Work with engineering teams in determining proposed right of way takes.Monitor project schedules, budgets and deliverables.Manage and coordinate projects with multiple team members.Assist crews in the field as needed.
Basic Qualifications:Licensed Professional Land Surveyor10+ years working on right-of-way projects for DOT'sUnderstanding of transportation surveying
Preferred Qualifications:Utah Professional Land Surveying LicenseExperience working on UDOT right-of-way projects
