**Responsibilities****This position offers relocation assistance!**To function as a scrub technician first assistant. The use of a STFA in the role of a first assistant in place of another physician will be left to the discretion of the surgeon. When STFA is not first assisting he/she will work as needed in a Scrub Tech role.**Qualifications****Minimum**High School Diploma/GED

Two years of scrub tech experience

Six months recent first assistant on-the-job experience and/or a letter of recommendation from surgeons for whom they performed as a first assistant

American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider

Successful completion of an approvedFirst Assistant program with a curriculum that includes didactic and clinical training designed for first assisting the surgeon

**Preferred**Electronic Medical Record or Cerner experience

Scrub Tech First Assist Certificate

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
