  Summary You will serve as a Supv Social Worker/ Psychologist in the BEHAVIORAL HEALTH BRANCH of HQTSBATTALION. Responsibilities You will plan, implement, and evaluate the Substance Abuse Counseling Center (SACC) alcohol and drug abuse/dependence screening, assessment, and case management programs. You will supervise development and implementation of a comprehensive substance abuse prevention plan for the installations supported by Henderson Hall. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting and adjusting short-term priorities and preparing schedules for completion of work. You will ensure that HQMC Program Certification requirements are met. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: being responsible for independently overseeing the day-to-day operations of the installation's substance abuse program. Plans, implements, and evaluates the Substance Abuse Counseling Center's (SACC) alcohol and drug abuse/dependence screening/assessment, treatment & case management programs. Develops and implements a comprehensive substance abuse prevention plan for the installation and tenant organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess: 0180: Degree: major or equivalent in psychology for all specializations except clinical psychology and counseling psychology. These two specializations have additional educational requirements, as stated below: Clinical psychology: For positions at grades GS-11 and above, satisfactory completion of all the requirements for the doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology is required. Counseling psychology: For positions at grades GS-9 and above, satisfactory completion of 2 full academic years of graduate study directly related to professional work in counseling psychology, or satisfactory completion in an accredited educational institution of all the requirements for a master's degree directly related to counseling psychology is required. 0185: Degree: social work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the master's degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Master's degree with practicum: Applicants who complete all of the requirements for a master's degree in social work that included a practicum are eligible for GS-9. This position is a TIER III clinical care practitioner with clinical supervisor eligibility. Applicants must meet all of the following requirements as outlined in SECNAVINST 1754.8: Provide early intervention, outpatient, aftercare for substance abuse related conditions and non-substance related addictive conditions per ASAM patient placement criteria. Possess Master's or Doctoral-level human service and/or mental health professional degree from an accredited university or college. Providers must have at least 2,000 hours of full time, post masters supervised clinical care experience and have a state or territory license that meets DoD requirements. Have attained two years full time post-licensure clinical experience. Eligible to provide clinical supervision and have the ability to function as the sole provider at a location. PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
