Job DescriptionBHE GT&S has an exciting career opportunity for a Supervisor, Compression Services that could be located in one of the following locations: Bridgeport, WV, Jane Lew, WV, Charleroi, PA, Greensburg, PA, Luthersburg, PA, Westfield, PA, or Leesburg, VA.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, the successful candidate would* Supervise, train and develop engine compressor analysts to ensure an effective predictive maintenance/engine analysis program.* Assist Analysts and Technical Specialists with troubleshooting of engines and compressors.* Assist Analysts with analysis related questions data interpretation and equipment issues.* Consult with field personnel and provides guidance concerning maintenance procedures fuel consumption maintenance and air emissions compliance issues.* Establish and maintain engine analysis progression training and testing schedules.* Assist with training pre-test reviews and testing of the Analysts.* Review and recommend additional training for the Analysts.* Evaluate and recommend analysis and portable emissions testing equipment.* Develop and recommend corrective measures and procedural modifications.* Coordinate/assist with compression equipment failure investigations.* Assess the potential impacts of mechanical problems on equipment efficiency and reliability.* Monitor regulatory requirements and assesses operations compliance requirements.* Develop and conduct applicable training for compressor station personnel.* Support and assist Environmental Services to maintain compliance with regulatory air permit emission limits and when answering questions from State Agencies regarding our portable emission testing process for existing and new air permits.* Develop portable emission testing protocols to meet air permit requirements.* Develop and coordinate engine air emissions testing schedule for portable and trailer emissions tests.* Prepare and submit portable emission test documentation to Environmental Services as per the portable emission test protocol and as required by the air permit.* Develop strategies and plans to resolve portable and trailer emission testing air permit compliance issues.* Develop and manage Capital and O&M budgets for EGTS engine analysis program.
Qualifications7-9 years of related experience* ?Knowledge of gas engine/compressor monitoring systems.* Knowledge of fundamental and advanced principles of engine/compressor operation and maintenance practices including the troubleshooting and resolution of emissions related issues with engines (including catalysts) and auxiliary generators (including catalysts).* Knowledge of portable emission testing processes.* Knowledge of engine and compressor analysis process.* Ability to organize and schedule work of subordinates.* Knowledge of union contract.* Ability to communicate effectively and develop rapport.* Ability to lead and influence efforts of others in attaining a common goal.* Ability to manage complex work schedules.* Ability to effectively manage conflict.
EducationBachelor (Typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
