JOB REQUIREMENTS: Talgo, Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist witha minimum of 3 years of experience to join our Milwaukee, WI team!Summary: Participates in and oversee a variety of activities involvingthe supply chain of services, materials and supplies on behalf of theCompany. Analyzes costs and quality of goods and services andestablishes vendor relationships. Identifies and executes theappropriate solution as it relates to timeliness, delivery and qualityof the parts or services ordered. Expedites orders to meet operation andorganizational needs. Upholds and follows the standard set of policiesand procedures for strategic procurement and timely delivery. SupplyChain Specialist Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Monitor orders for materials, parts and services from withinpre-established timeframes and within appropriate cost parameters.Provide timely feedback on the status of orders, material availability,and delivery expectation, or cost as required. Identify and analyze theneed and urgency in order to arrange the optimal mode of shipment toensure the order is received at the appropriate destination within theagreed timeframe. Contact suppliers to expedite orders or resolvediscrepancies as needed. Work closely with Purchasing, Planning andWarehouse departments to ensure any problems are resolved in a timelymanner. Create and maintain a Demand/Forecast report based on materialdelivery dates. This report is reviewed weekly with production andpurchasing to ensure deliveries will not impact the manufacturingschedule. Recommend temporary or alternate solutions to materialavailability problems. Contacts suppliers to arrange forrepair/replacement of damaged or defective parts, materials and tools.Supply Chain Specialist Qualifications, Skills and Requirements: Two (2)years industry experience and/or an Associate\'s Degree preferably inLogistics Strong customer service/satisfaction focus Ability to learnand comprehend the industry and related materials including both Talgosupplied parts and other parts used by Talgo including competitor parts.Interpersonal skills needed to positive interact with suppliers andinternal customers.
