This position contributes to the success of PepsiCo by ensuring the overall quality of ingredients and finished products in accordance with company's standards. Responsibilities include cost efficiency, continuous improvement on processes, service, and safety for an entire business unit on shift. The Quality Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of Quality & Sanitation Technicians. This individual must set quality assurance standards and align the organization to achieve these standards.
Work shift: Mon - Fri (2pm - 10pm) some Saturdays may be required
Responsibilities
Provides technical and process knowledge for water treatment/wastewater, product batching, product testing, package testing and supplier capabilityDemonstrates a working knowledge of production equipment (processing and packaging equipment) and its related impact on the overall qualityOversees team execution of key food safety pre-requisite programs such as GMP compliance, sanitation, documentation and recordkeeping, regulatory audits, etc.Maintains up-to-date knowledge of process improvements and technical developmentsBuilds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for both management and front-line hourly personnelDevelops the team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goalsDelivers effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impactCommunicates and collaborate cross-functionally to assist the team to solve operational issuesEnsures compliance with all health & safety regulations including food safetyOversees regulatory audits/inspections (i.e. AIB, FDA, ISO F2200 Standard, GHEMS)Administer policies and proceduresRegular and predictable attendance at the worksiteThis role requires regular presence on the plant floorThis role requires lifting up to 40 lbs. occasionallyThis role requires occasional work in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snowThis role may operate forklift and manufacturing equipment occasionallyThis role may require some travel (less than 5%)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar field A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience preferredPrevious experience within the quality control department of a high-speed manufacturing environment, preferably consumer packaged goods preferredAbility to prioritize and perform multiple tasks efficiently and effectivelyProficient in Microsoft Suite applicationsAbility to give and receive constructive feedbackAbility to lead a team-based approach to decision makingDemonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environmentStrong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring skillsEffective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team-building skillsThis position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United StatesThe role does NOT offer relocation assistance and onsite attendance is required
