Position Summary: The Supply Chain Logistics Manager also manages the import/export regulatory compliance, including North American Free Trade Agreement, overseeing the policies and procedures and their execution in the daily operation of the program. This includes qualification and issuance of free trade certificates, manufacturer affidavits, and certificates of origin. This position will manage the cradle to grave process for NAFTA and will work with procurement to ensure we are taking advantage of all available free trade agreements. Other responsibilities include managing the global database of tariff classifications, duty reduction projects, Import/Export Compliance areas, and audit responsibilities. Why work for Horton? Responsibilities Supply Chain Logistics Manager Responsibilities: 1. Create and manage policies and procedures for all logistics activity within Horton, Inc.* Collaborate with other functional areas (sales, order management, accounting, purchasing, production and shipping) as appropriate to integrate logistics with business systems and processes. * Implement processes to ensure compliance with customer specific requirements. Train all necessary personnel in roles and responsibilities related to Trade Compliance and Logistics. Monitor import/export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. Lead efforts to identify, select, qualify and evaluate carrier performance. Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes, mixes or carriers. Lead and resolve issues concerning transportation, logistics, imports or exports and customer related issues. Negotiate with suppliers and customers to improve supply chain efficiency and sustainability. Establish, monitor and report on specific supply chain performance measures. Import/Export Compliance Create/refine policies and procedures for all import/export activity within Horton, Inc. Collaborate with other functional areas (sales, order management, accounting, purchasing, production and shipping) as appropriate to integrate trade compliance activities with business systems and processes. Manage the database of import/export tariff classifications Perform qualification of all applicable Free Trade Agreements Issue NAFTA and other regulatory compliance documents Manage trade compliance and other relevant data Manage third-party trade compliance activities Prepare and communicate trade data reports and metrics required for internal and external use Conduct compliance transaction audits, identify gaps and take corrective actions as needed Qualifica ions The Supply Chain Logistics Manager position requires skills and knowledge consistent with a bachelor's degree. 5+ years experience in areas of Trade Compliance, International Transportation, or Logistics. Experience in import/export and NAFTA compliance strongly preferred. Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
