Webasto is seeking candidates with interpersonal intelligence, business acumen and presentation skills to join our team as a Supplier Development Engineer at our North American headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI.
What you will do - Essential Responsibilities* Plans, conducts and follows-up system- and process audits at suppliers for release, evaluation and systematic development* Conducts and follows-up performance improvements on suppliers operative systems and processes, e.g. Production Systems, out of an economic and quality driven initiation* Monitors systematically and initiates counteractivities on quality performance of suppliers in the assigned responsibility* Develops, follows-up and drives supplier quality tools and processes such as the escalation process, QW1, supplier release, SAP/DWH development* Executes tasks in regional task forces* Supports continuous improvement by active feedback, follow-up or development of specification, drawings and standardization* Acts for regional commodity as technical expert in technology, components, processes and systems where assigned
The minimum requirements you will need* Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Quality* 3+ years of experience in Automotive / Quality related field* VDA 6.3 certification is a plus* Practical knowledge of automotive quality standards and customer requirements* Experience in SAP-QM, Data Warehouse, MS-Office and Q-methods (e.g. APQP, FMEA,MSA, PPAP, SPC, 8D, DMAIC)* Production techniques, systems and processes experience
