Summary About the Position: This position is located at the HQS USA TNG Center & FT Jackson Soldier Support Institute Adjutant General School. This position is a Term position and can be extended up to a maximum of six years and may be made permanent without further competition. Army employees who accept a time-limited appointments (to include employees with personal competitive status) will be separated at the end of the time-limited appointment date if the Not-to-Exceed (NTE) date is not extended. Responsibilities Works under the general supervision of the Adjutant General School Director of Training (DoT), who assigns projects on a continuing basis or provides objectives to be accomplished. Independently supervise, lead and mentor both military and civilian Advanced Individual Training (AIT) instructors. Serves as a subject matter expert, resource supplier, and research, evaluate, and develop training materials, standards, guides, methods, and aids. Directs and supervises Advanced Individual Training (AIT) instructors in the day-to-day execution of Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) training to support the Adjutant General School Commandant’s academic training requirements. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes: 1) designing, develop, and implementation of training and other related activities; 2) managing faculty training courses, instructor proficiency, and other aspects of training effectiveness; 3) attending training classes on automated equipment, and other courses as required by management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
