Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the OFFICE OF THE COMMANDER, FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT, BUDGET of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG SYSTEMS COMMAND PAC. Responsibilities You will analyze data using a financial management system (e.g., Standard Accounting, Budgeting and Reporting System (SABRS), Command Financial Management (CFMS) or similar system). You will analyze the costs of alternative methods of financial management programs to make recommendations for the efficient use of funds. You will assign work to junior employees to achieve a strategic financial goal. You will coordinate information (e.g., managerial accounting, funds management, systems accounting, operations, policies, procedures, regulations) to support program objectives. You will conduct financial reviews to identify trends that affect program and project operations. You will prepare briefs to communicate the health of organization's financial programs to managers. You will evaluate expenditures to determine compliance with organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial procedures and practices. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS 12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Formulating budget and cost estimates to support organizational plans, programs, and activities; 2) Reviewing budget request, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures: 3) Analyzing cost and benefits of alternate methods of financial management of organizations programs and operations; 4) Implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets; and 5) Providing advice on effective methods for the acquisition for use of funds to support the organizations activities.
