Objectives:
Supervise production personnel in production work flow and effective utilization of equipment, material, and labor resources in the Manufacturing Equipment area.
Responsibilities:
Mainly responsible for the flow of product, technical troubleshooting, and employee relations in the Mfg. Equipment area.
Key activities will include cultivating a learning/thinking culture for our Manufacturing Equipment team members empowering process ownership at all levels in the team.
Supervise production personnel in manufacture and packagingof electro-mechanical devices.
Ensure production in compliance with established quality standards and manufacturing SOPs.Manage production flow and effective utilization of equipment, material, and labor resources.
Interface with Planning to understand production schedule and meet production requirements in a timely manner.
Work with QA and Engineering to resolve production line quality issues.
Monitor and report area safety and housekeeping.
Help hire and train employees.
Report, investigate and resolve employee issues.
Work with HR and senior management to carry out disciplinary actions. Monitor employee attendance and performance.
Develop and support continuous improvement projects and overall mindset within the team.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 2 years of directly related production experience in medical device manufacturing environment or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of manufacturing supervisory experience in cGMP environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Experience with electro/mechanical assembly of medical devices.
Lean and Six Sigma (Greenbelt/Blackbelt) training.
Knowledge and aptitude in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing ( GD&T).
