　　DescriptionPosition Summary/Essential Duties:The Sterile Processing Technician role is responsible for receiving, sorting, decontaminating, reassembling, packaging, sterilizing, storing and distributing reusable patient care equipment, instrument trays and supplies. Specific job duties include:Performs decontamination procedurePrepares reusable patient care items for sterilizationSterilization using appropriate sterilization methodsPicks surgical case carts, stores and distribute reusable patient care equipment, instrument trays and suppliesParticipates as a productive member of the O.R. processing teamMaintains positive relationships with patients, customers, and co-workersParticipates as a productive member of the perioperative process teamEqual Opportunity Employer -- minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
