Are you a skilled hands on Supervisor with a background in Mechanical Engineering with a passion for leadership? We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Supervisor, based in Brisbane, Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your Mechanical Engineering background within the petroleum industry while leading and managing a dedicated team of Technicians.
As the Supervisor/you will play a crucial role in the coordination of field operation activities for our Technicians, ensuring cost-effective resource utilisation. The ideal candidate will possess a background of Mechanical Engineering skills and qualification coupled with people leadership experience. This role will see you working as a ‘hands on Supervisor’ where you enjoy both working in the field with our products and resolving customer issues, repairing products and supervising a team of Technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and review functional field operations requirements and information of customer jobs to determine functions and responsibilities of Technicians and work orders;
· Establish work measurement programs and analyse job data to develop standards for labour utilisation;
· Analyse workforce utilisation, , operational data, and schedules to optimise team and equipment efficiencies;
· Interpretation and verification of design related to mechanical and hydraulic equipment & components specifically related to the petroleum industry, as well as capability to execute / supervise construction and maintenance of such plant and equipment.
· Develop construction and maintenance specifications for underground petroleum storage systems (UPSS);
· Organise and manage project labour, as well as the delivery of materials, plant/ product, and equipment.
· Establish standards and policies for Field Operations, modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance according to engineering principles and safety regulations.
· Conduct inspections to ensure optimum performance is maintained.
· Direct maintenance and coordinate the requirements for new designs, surveys, and maintenance schedules.
Total remuneration will be comprised as a monetary amount & is between $80 000 - $88 000 total package.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
· Proven experience in Mechanical Engineering and demonstrated leadership skills.
· Strong organisational and project management abilities.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to analyse and optimise workforce utilisation and schedules.
· Years of experience in the petroleum industry.
