Superintendent- P and A Oil and Gas
Overview:
The Oil, Gas and Plug and Abandon Superintendent oversees multiple worksites, in multiple States as assigned. Visits the sites for Prebid Meetings, provides means and methods evaluations, seeks out vendors and subcontractors. Attends intercompany meetings, sets up the projects and provides direct oversight. Coordinates activities and employees, defines the support needed for the successful completion of the projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
Supervises and coordinates activities of multiple project sites throughout the United States. Performs bid site visits, supervisory and management functions for projects assigned to.Supervises multiple crews to obtain top quality workmanship, efficiency, employee and client satisfaction, morale, communication, commitment, teamwork, and pride.Reviews, verifies, and submits paper time sheets for all crew members and submits to Payroll and their Project Manager on specified days, if no access to HH2 is available.Recognizes and communicates to Project Manager any priority projects or problems, such as employee or job costing issues and complaints from the client.Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed, bringing problems to the attention of the Project Manager, Safety Department and/or HR Manager.Provides calculations on all project resources required to complete the work.Must be able to plan, allocate resources, manage production and coordinate people and equipment for optimal performance.Ensures daily onsite safety meetings are performed and documented.Provides daily reports and photo documentation of the work performed each day.Compiles and submits reports that may be required by the contract documents.Additional duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervisory responsibilities associated with this position may include oversite of field staff, consultants and subcontractors. As assigned, will provide supervision to Forman leading projects within the Superintendent's scope of oversight.
Education and/or Experience:
A minimum of 15 years of related skill, knowledge or experience is needed for these occupations. Must include related on-the-job training and experience in construction practices. Experience and training must include methods, techniques, equipment, and hands-on experience in a supervisory position.Knowledgeable in oil and gas well plugging and abandonment practices.Familiar with environmental remediation and reclamation practices. Ability to interpret Federal, State, Local requirements as they apply to the work.Must have journeyman level experience and education which includes being a graduate from a technical school in a construction trade, equitable qualifications through a recognized union in the construction trades arena, or current/former licensed owner/operator of a construction related business, may substitute years of experience in lieu of this requirement.Basic knowledge of administration and management.The ability to perform risk assessments-able to recognize problems when they occur and to work toward the solution of those problems.Must be able to exercise good judgment when carrying out duties and to maintain good working relationships with the public and fellow employees.Must be able to read, understand and apply information obtained from blueprints, surveys, job specifications, and subcontractors.Interpersonal skills sufficient to positively influence employees and subcontractors to actively achieve mutual goals.Strong coordination, time management, active listening, oral and written expression and comprehension, critical thinking, and reasoning skills.Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite of products including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook business software, along with communication software such as Teams or GoToMeeting.Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a Team. Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision.Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects and have a strong attention for detail.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Drivers License, First aid and CPR certificate, Storm Water Prevention per state, federal and local requirements.

The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Access to the sites could include: Helicopters, ATV, heavy equipment, boats, horses, or hiking. Due to the potential remoteness and means of access to sites, a physical will be required as part of the on board process.
Work Environment:
Project field sites, that can vary drastically with the possibility of extremely remote sites. Travel domestically as required based on business demands.
