The Village of Port Leyden is accepting applications for a Superintendent of Public Works. Daily activities will include but not limed to maintenance and construction of streets, snow/sanding/sweeping of streets, building maintenance, water treatment, water distribution, wastewater treatment, and ability to operate a variety of equipment Applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of public works experience. A valid NYS Drivers License at time of appointment and the license must be maintained throughout the duration of your employment. Incumbent must obtain appropriate level Water Treatment Plant Operator certification level 1 (or higher) Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certificate prior to completion of the one-year probationary period. The Village of Port Leyden provides a benefit package that includes: holiday pay, vacation time, sick-time, and NYS Retirement.
