　　Greenwood Court is designed as a 'Community of Care' where seniors are able to age in place. As the needs of our seniors change, they have access to additional services and supports without having to leave familiar surroundings or newly developed friendships. Staff and volunteers are committed to making Greenwood Court "a place to call home" for its residents.

　　As a valued member of the team, the Admin Office Assistant will demonstrate a commitment to resident safety by supporting the team administratively in providing quality care in accordance with the organization's vision and mission.

　　QUALIFICATIONS:

　　Knowledge of medical terminology would be an asset.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

　　Must be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.

　　Computer skills an asset.

　　An energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.

　　Excellent telephone manner.

　　Highly organized and able to work in a busy environment

　　Professional appearance and behavior.

　　Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment.

　　Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

　　Ability to work compassionately with seniors.

　　Summer Opportunities generally start in May and end at the beginning of September. These jobs may be funded by the Government of Canada's Student Work Placement Program (SWPP) or Canada Summer Jobs. In order to be considered for the Canada Summer Jobs Program, you must:

　　Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or a protected person defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

　　Be between 15-30 years of age at beginning of employment period

　　Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial legislation and regulations

　　*If you do not meet the above criteria you can still apply as we may have opportunities available over and above the SWPP.

　　New employees will be required to complete a vulnerable sector check (or sign a declaration if under 18 years of age) and TB test as part of the onboarding process.

　　Tri-County Mennonite Homes does not require COVID-19 vaccination as a part of the onboarding process, however TCMH continues to strongly recommend "up-to-date" COVID-19 vaccinations.
