Waterford Upstart provides four-year-old children access to the highest form of academic support in their early education at no cost to participants. Waterford Upstart offers personalized education and coaching, a computer and internet if needed, and adaptive education software. Our Summer Operations Associates play an important role in helping us achieve our organizational mission and providing an excellent experience to all families!

Our summer is split up into two halves: the Warehouse Season and the Events Season.

During the Warehouse Season, you will be working in our offices in Taylorsville and West Jordan, Utah to help prepare equipment to be sent out to families participating in the program. You will also perform equipment collections, administrative duties, and learn what happens behind the scenes to make our events run successfully. These tasks are often repetitive in nature. You can expect to work four 10 hour shifts each week (to total 40 hours a week) during the first half of the summer.

During the Events Season, you will travel around the state of Utah running Family Orientation Events for our participants. This will involve a high level of interaction with both parents and children, along with presenting to parents and entertaining children during the events. You can expect to work four 8-10 hour shifts each week (to total 35 - 40 hours a week) during the second half of the summer. You can also expect a couple overnight trips during the Events Season with occasional half-days on Saturday (for overtime). Due to the nature of running events, Associates will have very limited vacation time during the Events Season.
