As part of R&D DevOps in Hologic's Breast and Skeletal Health division, you'll work closely with software and systems quality engineers to implement automated processes to enhance product design, development, and test
Throughout the 10-12 weeks you'll have the opportunity to participate in the following:
Implementing a Dev Ops process from the ground up
You will collect user needs and use cases. Plan, implement, and test your solution to automate one or more R&D processes
You'll work collaboratively across software and systems quality, gaining significant experience along the way
Simultaneously, you'll be building a network of contacts in the industry that you can leverage throughout your career
We're looking for bright, inquisitive problem solvers who strive to make a difference. Key qualifications include the following:
Able to work full-time over the summer months (May-August)
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and have at least one semester remaining to complete after the internship
Rising Junior, Rising Senior
Majoring in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering
Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.2/4.0
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience or exposure to working with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Understanding of software design principles
General computer science knowledge, including operating systems, databases, networking and cloud technologies
General scripting experience (e.g. PowerShell, Batch, Bash)
Experience with API development
Ability to work onsite at our Newark, DE campus. Intern housing, relocation, and housing stipends are not provided
The hourly pay range for this role is $22 to $35 per hour. Compensation is determined by class standing and operational function.
