  Statement of the Job:

  The Program Logistics Coordinator works closely with the Camp Directors to assist with various program needs, assist with teaching lessons to campers, and other jobs to assist with the operation of camp. This position works with all groups of campers with ages ranging from 6-18. This role requires high enthusiasm for working with children of various ages with a strong dedication to safety and fun. We offer various outdoor-focused programs based on conservation education, wilderness survival skills, naturalist, and adventure. Each week, we offer 4-6 different programs, providing a diverse and changing schedule. Spending a summer at Greenland Point will be one of the most rewarding experiences available in Eastern Maine! This position is seasonal (June-August) and is located in Princeton, Maine.

  Responsibilities:

  Lead programs for various ages

  Supervise campers and ensure safety and risk management policies are followed.

  Plan lessons, lead activities, mentor campers, and provide opportunities for campers to learn and explore the outdoors through high-quality experiences.

  Perform camp chores that benefit the greater community.

  Attend staff meetings and debriefs as scheduled.

  Provide basic first aid as needed

  Live in cabins and supervise campers

  Assist Directors with program logistics and delivery

  Support field teachers with lessons when necessary

  Schedule and Compensation:

  $450-$550/week

  Camp schedule - Sunday thru Friday with occasional weekends

  Daily time off (Monday thru Thursday) plus most weekends (Friday afternoon thru Sunday morning) off

  6-8 weeks of camp programs plus staff training

  Room and Board are included.

  Certification trainings provided as required for positions

  The camp is nestled in the center of a 64-acre wooded peninsula known as Greenland Point on Long Lake in Princeton. Long Lake is one of several large lakes near Grand Lake Stream in the Down East region of Maine. The camp includes traditional rustic log cabins that form a small village and a sporting-camp-style lodge and dining hall. The extensive waterfront includes an aquatics area, boating docks, and natural shoreline, providing swimming, boating and great fishing opportunities. The forested location boasts hiking trails and unique natural features to explore, and includes remote campsites, and plenty of wildlife that call Greenland Point home.

  Qualifications:

  Previous camp experience or working with youth preferred

  Must have a desire to work with various age groups

  Must be a positive role model

  Good communication skills

  Interest or background in the outdoors: hiking, nature, hunting, fishing, canoeing, etc.

  Willing to live and work in a community setting with changing program needs and focuses.

  Attend staff training prior to the start of camp
