  Job Summary

  PSEG is looking for an Intern for the Construction Inquiry Department.

  The Construction Inquiry (CI) department is responsible for reviewing and processing applications in the areas of Residential, EV, I&C, Demolition, and Net Metering for all New Business throughout PSE&G's total service territory. In addition, CI also has a phone component within the business and is responsible for handling 400-450 incoming calls from customers and contractors a day on average. There is also a significant analytical component which supports all areas of CI, with the analytical results supporting business decisions being made day to day. This position would support a small portion of analytics of the department and a larger portion of reporting & scheduling within the Net Metering group.

  This position will be Hybrid.

  Job Responsibilities

  Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:

  This position will support PSE&G's Construction Inquiry Department as a support function

  This position will specifically support Construction Inquiry’s six individual work categories including analytical responsibilities, reviewing/developing process documentation, assisting with scheduling the day to day Net metering work along with maintaining Net Metering reports, and reviewing and revising various day to day processes and procedures for all Residential, I&C, Demolition, EV, and Net Metering

  This position would have responsibility for identifying opportunities to drive call volume reduction in the department

  Job Specific Qualifications

  Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited institution in Finance, Data Analytics, Econ, or similar Business/Analytical related degree. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Candidates must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration.

  Because this position will require traveling to various PSEG locations, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required .

  All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
