　　About the role

　　We are looking for a Sugar Buyer Europe to be responsible for the sourcing and trading strategy for the raw material sugar for the European factories (EU/UK/CH/RS). The purpose of this role is to develop, validate, communicate and implement a sugar category specific Sourcing Strategy that delivers a competitive advantage for the business

　　Key Responsibilities include

　　Responsible for the negotiation and sourcing at the most competitive conditions within approved specifications.

　　Analyse market information and processes in order to develop effective sourcing strategies and action plans

　　Work closely with stakeholders (Sales, Customer Supply and Development, Quality and Finance) on sourcing strategies to meet customer demand

　　Conclude framework contracts with an optimal balance between quality and reliability in line with our sustainability targets

　　Manage contract execution for the attributed portfolio and its suppliers on a strategic, tactical and operational level

　　Monitor contracts, volumes, price differences, products evolutions, inventories

　　Main point of contact for interactions with strategic suppliers, evaluation of their performance

　　Manage Working Capital at optimal levels with specific focus on Payables

　　Provide pricing inputs based on market intelligence. Work closely with the Market Analyst Sugar

　　About you

　　Bachelor’s degree in economics or similar

　　Experience of 5 years in a Procurement, FMCG, or Supply Chain related function involving raw materials or soft commodities

　　Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Other languages such as French, German, Dutch or Portuguese are a plus

　　Good knowledge of SAP, MS Office and Salesforce

　　Experience with PowerBI is a plus

　　Familiarity with sugar, or other commodity markets, is a plus

　　Good procurement process knowledge, sourcing strategies and project management in cross functional teams

　　Excellent negotiation skills

　　Good presentation skills and comfortable to present in front of an audience

　　Is able to present in effective way to internal and external stakeholders

　　“Can-do” attitude, hands-on, dynamic and proactive working style. Appetite to learn

　　Ability to develop partnerships and manage key stakeholders

　　Multi-tasking project management skills and ability to work effectively under pressure and set timelines

　　Ability to operate in a multicultural environment

　　Ability to assess a complex environment and extract the key strategic implications for Barry Callebaut
