Sub Arc Welder

Pay:$26-30/hr.

Hours:Monday- Friday 6AM-6PM

What Youll Be Doing:

As a Sub Arc Welder, you will be responsible for welding pressurevessels or heat exchanger components, applying your expertise in variousthermal welding processes. With a minimum of 3 years of experience, youwill be expected to weld using SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and SAWprocesses, maintaining high standards of quality. Youll need to pass aweld qualification test to acquire a code stamp and consistentlymaintain less than a 5% X-Ray repair rate. Your role will also involvereading prints for specifications and dimensions, working within theparameters of a WPS/PQR, and efficiently fixing X-Ray and UT repairs.

Must Have Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years experience welding pressure vessels or heatexchanger components.Moderate knowledge and ability to weld with some or all of SMAW,GMAW, GTAW, FCAW SAW thermal processes.Ability to pass a weld qualification test to acquire a code stamp.Proficiency in reading prints for specifications and dimensions.Ability to weld within the parameters of a WPS/PQR.Skilled in the arc gouging process.Ability to consistently maintain less than a 5% X-Ray repair rate.Efficiency in fixing X-Ray and UT repairs.Physical Requirements:

Must be able to safely lift fifty pounds.Ability to work in a shop environment in all seasons.Ability to safely enter and work productively in confined spaces ofan exchanger or vessel.Must be able to safely tie off and work from elevated heights on topof an exchanger or vessel.Job Order # 117801
