  POSITION SUMMARY:

  As the Studio Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and workflow of the design studio. Your role will involve supporting a team of designers, ensuring smooth project execution, fostering a creative and collaborative environment, and aligning design efforts with the company's goals and objectives.

  The Studio Manager will have the opportunity to manage and support a talented team, shape the studio's direction, and play a crucial role in optimizing design processes, managing resources, and supporting the delivery of high-quality design outputs that meet client expectations and uphold the brand's standards.

  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  Team Leadership and Management:

  Partner with a team of designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster professional growth and development.Collaborate with HR to recruit and onboard new designers and studio associates, ensuring the team's skills and expertise align with the studio's needs.Project Management:

  Oversee project assignments and timelines, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including clients, product managers, marketing, and other departments, to streamline project workflows.Maintain contact lists for internal teams, licensees, and external partners.Budget & Travel Management:

  Manage design resources effectively, including equipment, software, and materials, to support the team's productivity and creativity.Work closely with the finance department to manage the design studio budget, ensuring cost-effective project execution.Manage domestic and international travel arrangements.Design Quality Control:

  Develop an understanding of the Global Concept seasonal direction to align with your department.Support design outputs to ensure they meet the brand's design standards and client requirements.Prepare and track local, domestic, and international sample shipments.Maintain organization of sample closets.Liaise with cross functional teams on sample requests for style outs and look book photoshoots.Creative Collaboration:

  Foster a collaborative and inclusive studio culture that encourages open communication, creative brainstorming, and innovative thinking.Partner with other department's Studio Managers on cross-collaborations and synergy.Studio Operations:

  Ensure the studio's workflow is efficient, organized, and adheres to established procedures and best practices.Implement and maintain design tools and software to optimize design processes.Assists with updating and distributing calendar invites via Outlook for both internal meetings and meetings with licensees and external partners.Process daily IT, Procurement/Marketplace, and Facilities requestsOrder design and office supplies. ___________

  QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  Experience:

  Minimum 5-7 years administrative experience assisting senior creative executive.2+ years of managerial experience is preferred.Education:

  Bachelor's degree in related field.Proven experience in design management or a similar leadership role in a creative studio environment.Skills:

  Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.Excellent project management and organizational abilities.In-depth knowledge of design software and tools.Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.Previous experience in a creative agency or design studio is a plus.BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Temporary support budgetDesign supply budgetSample budgetOffice supply budgetT&E budgetDECISION MAKING: Must be able to make decisions related to the day-to-day operation of the design studio, including requisitions for temporary assistance, adjustments to departmental meeting, and/or travel schedule.

  RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY: Must regularly adapt to the changing needs of the business as well as the operational needs of the design studio.

  Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000

Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
