Gas Storage Engineering Intern (May 2024)

　　PGL, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Gas Storage Engineering Intern (May 2024) in our Fisher, Illinois location.

　　Job Summary

　　We employ students for summer and year-round opportunities to help design creative cost effective systems and equipment that keep the energy flowing to our customers in a safe and reliable manner. WEC Energy Group offers a variety of engineering opportunities for students seeking hands-on experience that are currently enrolled in a four-year degree program. Students work with experienced members of these functional teams.

　　Job Responsibilities

　　Assists in the preparation of plans, designs, specifications, drawings, and work procedures for capital projects and major maintenance projects.

　　Assists Company Engineers with the management of construction, commissioning, and testing phases of projects.

　　Provides general engineering and technical support for the Gas Storage Department, which serves both underground and liquefied natural gas (LNG).

　　Minimum Qualifications

　　High School Diploma, GED, or HSED

　　Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Systems Engineering & Design, and Petroleum Engineering or closely related degree.

　　Valid driver’s license

　　Minimum GPA of 2.8

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　Prior Internship experience

　　Mechanical Aptitude

　　Mechanical Troubleshooting experience

　　Fluid or Thermal dynamics project experience
