The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.)On-going learning opportunities within a diverse, inclusive and rewarding work environmentOnsite Cafeteria, remodeled with new equipment Fitness Center, and Outdoor fitness trackResponsibilities to Anticipate for this role:* Direct supervisory responsibility for a growing team of structures design engineers and structural analysis (FEA) including hiring and performance management and employee development.* Manage work assignments, budgets, and schedules to ensure high quality and timely work products.* Balance multiple priorities and programs through judgment and assessment of risk* Utilize metrics to measure quality and drive continuous improvement into work products and processes.* Review and approve work products such as new drawing/model releases, drawing/model changes, and analysis artifacts (reports)* Develop planning and proposal inputs and BOEs.* Manage manpower demand and meet staffingrequirements.* Utilize Teamcenter to assign work, review drawings and approve proposed changes.* Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications Sought:* Must be familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint)* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Masters Degree is preferred.* Minimum of 15 years engineering experience, leadership experience preferred* Structural design experience and technical competency preferred* Analysis experience preferred* Track record of delivering applicable products on schedule/cost and with high quality* Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively* Mind-set to work collaboratively in a team environment for program success* Proven skills in the development of technical documents and oral communication* Strong technical writing and presentation skills sought.* Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint) required* TeamCenter experience (desired)Additional Information / Desired Experience* This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)Previous experience working in the defense industry desired, ground-based Vehicle Systems preferred.This
