Because it matters!The Structural EIT will be responsible for structural engineering and designdevelopment of hydraulic structures, buildings, and bridges for bothconventional design-bid-build and design-build projects. Project assignmentsinclude design of reinforced concrete and structural steel hydraulicstructures, dam stability analysis, fisheries facilities, steel andconcrete masonry buildings, penstocks, and steel and concrete bridges.Engineer will gain experience working on projects for the US Army Corps ofEngineers (USACE), Bureau of Reclamation (BoR), Federal EnergyRegulatory Commission (FERC), and various other state, local andprivate clients. Specific duties are outlined below.Responsibilities: Under the direction of a licensed engineer.Establishes project specific design criteria, gathers historical informationincluding drawings, design reports, and codes.Prepares Design Development Reports summarizing project criteria andhistorical informationPerforms structural computations and analysis.Works with CAD staff to prepare and mark-up project drawings.Edits project specific specifications and assists with preparation of theProject Manual.Performs services during construction including submittal review and responsesto information and clarification requests.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Civil EngineeringMaster's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with focus onStructural (preferred)Taken and passed the EIT Exam1-3 years+ of structural design experience, water resource relatedexperience a plusKnowledge of relevant Industry and Agency Design Codes and StandardsDemonstrated working knowledge and experience with structural analysissoftwareExperience in reading, interpreting, and communicating the design intentof contract documents, plans and specificationsPossess strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independentlyMust have a flexible work schedule, be willing to travel up to 20%Must be able to work in a team environmentCompensation Package:Pay Range: $75,000 - $90,000 (DOE)Benefits: McMillen provides a full Benefits Program consisting of Medical,Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, FSA, EAP, 401(k) andmatch, 9 Paid Holidays, generous PTO, opportunity for Stock Ownershipand WellnWho We Are: McMillen, Inc.
