  About the Team

  Merchants (Restaurants) form the backbone of our business, and supporting restaurants is one of the key reasons we exist. From multinationals to mom-and-pop shops, they produce the delicious food that we deliver to our consumers every day, and Taiwan's restaurant ecosystem and vibrant food culture are why Uber Eats in Taiwan has grown to be one of our top 4 most successful markets globally.

  The Merchant team reports directly to the General Manager of Uber Eats Taiwan and covers strategy, sales, account management, and operations.

  About the Role

  Our over 70K merchant partners will be even more critical to the future of our business as we seek to maintain sustained and profitable growth into 2030. They are the only side of our marketplace that both benefits from our success and has the means to co-invest and co-create our market with us. Affordability, unique and exciting merchant promotions and campaigns, and high-margin B2B products will be key to driving consumer engagement and deepening our competitive advantage.

  Uber Eats Taiwan is seeking an ambitious and talented Merchant Growth Lead to lead this critical function into the future.

  In this role, you will:

  Own and drive strategy and scaled go-to-market levers for our merchant growth offerings, including advertisements, promotions, and co-marketing campaigns.Be accountable for scaled and tech-touch advertising revenue and promotional spend, which contribute significantly to consumer growth and company profitability.Optimize co-marketing campaigns and promotional budget usage to maximize growth for merchant partners and revenue for the platform.Assess the industry landscape and consumer market trends for competitive threats and growth opportunities.Be a key thought partner to country leadership, global and regional teams, and key stakeholders, especially the account management and marketing teams.Develop a team of talented program managers and analysts.

  The Experience You'll Bring:

  8-12 years of work experience.Experience in strategy formation and structuring and solving abstract problems.Experience in team or people management.Experience in consumer, advertising, and / or b2b product growth.Highly advanced English proficiency, presentation skills, and stakeholder management abilities.Highly advanced fluency in Excel and quantitative analysis.Drive to continuously surpass yourself, an appetite for risk-taking, and grit.

  Ideal Characteristics:

  Relevant experience in other large consumer internet companies is a big plus, especially in e-commerce or other online marketplaces.Experience in management consulting or other strategic functions is a big plus.Experience and strong interest in online advertising, marketing, sales, and category / account management will be a very big plus.MBA is not required but a plus.SQL knowledge is a plus.Mandarin language proficiency is not a hard requirement. You may be limited in daily discussions with a sizable portion of on-the-ground team members though.
