Key JobResponsibilities Leadteam managingsourcing activities across KomatsuNorth America. Identify and qualify suppliers providing products andservices to meet OE and Aftermarket requirements in accordance withSLQDC principals; ensuring productivity, continuous improvementandnegotiated lowest total overall cost. Develop and implement thecommodity sourcing strategy through analysis of global markets, rawmaterials trends, technology, value chain analysisand long-term sourcingplans. Prepare and lead supplier negotiations. Initiate and manageRFI\'s, RFP\'s, and RFQ\'s. Consolidate, interpret, and align industryresearch to identify qualified supplier candidates to meet Komatsuneeds. Benchmark best in class suppliers. Drive and incorporate dataresults into actionable plans. Communicate plans to the business andensure visible forward focused supplier plans. Responsible for \"ShouldCost Analysis\" cost models for each category group to fully understandcost make-up and drive optimal cost decisions. Sourcing total cost ofownership is paramount. Understand type of supplier relationshiprequired, ongoing oversight of supplier relationships for all commercialaspects including negotiations, contracts, partnerships, continuousimprovements, etc. Manage supplier relationship to develop the bestvalue proposition with coordination of key internal and externalstakeholders. Manage, maintain and update all Supplier contracts.Develop plans for partnership relationship management for selectedsuppliers, to improve financials, reduce in house/total costs, improvequality/6S, and OTD. Provide direction and support to foster a mentoringrelationship to suppliers and adapt tactics based upon maturity andtrack record of supplier.
