In this job, you will report directly to the Director of Advanced Energy Solutions (AES) in Customer Programs & Services (CP&S) to provide special project and analytical support to address the most pressing and complex questions affecting the Advanced Energy solutions customer program portfolio, leading effective strategic planning, decision making, integration of business functions and cross-functional collaboration, and help to ensure the portfolios meet California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) obligations.

Providing hands-on special project support for AES portfolio-level initiatives that require complex analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and strong thought leadership
Manage AES or corporate requests by working across all appropriate SCE organizations/functions, i.e., legal, regulatory, procurement
Uncovering opportunities to improve performance across quality, compliance, cost, throughput, and customer satisfaction
Developing clear action plans based on identified portfolio opportunities and collaborating with owners to drive results
Prepare and facilitate internal and external forums [CPUC/Energy Division meetings, external partners such as Low-Income Oversight Board (LIOB) and external engagement across California Investor-Owned Utilities] and coordinate communications within and outside of the AES organization
Collaborate and support the development, maintenance and publication of business plans and performance dashboards and review key performance indicators
Act as liaison for corporate initiatives and other efforts that integrate with or impact AES, i.e., Information Technology, Finance, Safety, Legal, Human Resources
Identifying and executing on continuous improvement activities across AES for optimized efficiency
Qualifications
The essentials
10 or more years of experience in organizational programs and/or strategic planning
Five or more years of project management experience leading medium to large scale full-cycle projects
The preferred
Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, finance, engineering, management, or related field
Knowledge and experience with regulatory policies, regulatory agencies (i.e., CPUC, California Air Resources Board, California Energy Commission, etc.), and/or electric utilities
Strong problem-solving skills with hypothesis driven approach
Strong oral/written and influential communication skills, including presentation skills to effectively communicate and interact with personnel at all levels.
You should know
This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
